Greenhouse Maintenance Technician – Rogers, MN
Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Greenhouse Maintenance Technician to support the daily operation, upkeep, and functionality of greenhouse facilities. This role focuses on maintaining the physical infrastructure, equipment, and operational systems that enable greenhouse staff to successfully grow and manage plants. The position does not involve direct plant care or cultivation duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on greenhouse structures, equipment, and facility systems
- Inspect and maintain heating, cooling, ventilation, irrigation, and environmental control systems
- Monitor and troubleshoot operational equipment to minimize downtime
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, walkways, storage spaces, and utility rooms
- Assist with facility setup, breakdown, and seasonal preparation activities
- Operate maintenance tools, machinery, and basic power equipment safely
- Coordinate with greenhouse production staff to ensure operational needs are met
- Replace filters, repair hoses, maintain plumbing connections, and address minor electrical or mechanical issues
- Remove snow, debris, and waste materials from facility grounds as needed
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and report hazards or repair needs promptly
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous maintenance, facilities, warehouse, or mechanical experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or mechanical systems is an asset
- Ability to use hand tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment safely
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, climbing, and working in varying temperatures and humidity levels
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in seasonal weather conditions
Salary Range: $25 – $35 per hour. Final compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and overall fit for the role.

Work Environment
This position works in and around greenhouse facilities, maintenance areas, and outdoor grounds. The role supports greenhouse operations but does not involve planting, watering, pruning, or handling crops.
