Cilantro

Herb

Summary

A great culinary herb for gardens and containers. Excellent for flavoring a variety of dishes. Cilantro is widely used for Thai, Chinese and Mexican dishes. Wash fruits, vegetables and herbs thoroughly before eating.

Description

This erect annual herb has been cultivated for over 3,000 years, and is prized for both its pungently aromatic foliage (Cilantro) and its spicy seeds (Coriander). Both the leaves and the leafstalks are commonly used to flavor soups, salads and bean dishes in the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Use the tender leaves to add a citrusy-fresh taste to salsa.
